This full day course is aimed at people new to podcasting or to those who would like to simply refresh their skills. It is designed for those who want to learn the basics of online content, audio and video podcasting, and will enable them to become familiar with the terms, technology and potential power of podcasts. On completion you will be able to create your own video and audio podcasts.

The course is led by two of Ireland’s most experienced podcasters, Helen Shaw and Joe Conway, who launched their first podcast channels in March 2006.

The course will include:

• Awareness and understanding of the basics of podcasting
• How to use podcasting to improve your website
• How to create an RSS feed
• How to make, edit and package a podcast- audio or video
• How to release podcasts on the internet through portals like iTunes or Youtube
• How to maintain online support and profile once podcasts are on the internet

A support handbook will be provided to each participant.
